I have been drawing all my life and painting professionally for approximately 20 years. With no formal training, I have enthusiastically studied John Singer Sargent and his contemporaries, whose work I love and admire. I paint a variety of subjects including figures in interiors, still lifes, and landscapes. I especially enjoy painting the human face because of its expressiveness.

My work has won top awards locally and nationally in past years, including Best of Show in the Texas-Oklahoma Oil Painters of America Regional Show in 1994. I was a featured artist in Southwest Art Magazine in November 2001. I have participated in many successful group exhibitions in Chicago, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Texas. My oil paintings, pastel paintings, watercolors, and charcoal drawings are in the homes of many collectors throughout the United States, and in England, Mexico, and Russia.

After many years in Texas raising our two sons, my husband and I now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I grew up.
